A little refresher for those who need it. The below information is written to the best of my knowledge.

FamilyStatus

My parents are divorced.

I was 6.

MommyDearest

Mom is single, supporting herself.

She is an insurance agent by profession, working in Prudential.

Mom is a free thinker.

Mom used to live in the Lord, but now lives in Marsiling.

Dad

Dad remarried a woman from China, LiuLi.

To fund his business, LiuLi gave a large sum of money, which she claimed to be her life savings, to Dad.

Dad's marriage with LiuLi turned horrible due to LiuLi's jealousy and relentless hurting words about his past, and when he was going to return her her savings.

In an attempt to silence her, he signed off his house to her name.
LiuLi promised to allow me to stay till I graduate from SMU.

Shortly after, Dad had to leave the house, and LiuLi claimed both the house and the family business.

Not long after that, LiuLi chased me out as well, denying any verbal agreement.

I'm not sure where Dad is living, and with whom, but last I remember, he has another girlfriend.

Dad was baptized on the same day as Yizhen.

LiuLi

LiuLi has a son from her previous marriage.

Her son, LiuShuai, suffers from autism.

Dad and LiuLi almost never get along, quarrel and occasionally fight with each other.

After chasing Dad and I out of the HDB unit (which now is officially hers), she continues to run Dad's business.

LiuLi was a Muslim, before converting to Christianity.

LiuLi is baptized, but LiuShuai backed out last minute.

Dad's divorce is still underway, targeted to be resolved in about a year from this date.

After that, Dad claims he will fund the rest of my education costs with what he can salvage from the case.

I presume he will return to China after that to resume the next chapter of his life.

Yizhen

Yizhen, my sister, maintains an education level at N levels, though she did attempt to take her Os as a private candidate.

Yizhen started working in multi-level-marking businesses, in pubs, and then had a more permanent job in a pet grooming company.

Yizhen was a Christian. She was baptized on the same day as Dad.

Yizhen is gay.

She had a few girlfriends, and seem to be unable to maintain one due to loyalty issues.

Not long ago, Yizhen moved out after getting into a heated argument with Mom, disowning her as a daughter.

A fight was broke out involving me against Yizhen, while Mom and Yizhen's girl friend held me back.

Given Yizhen's sexual orientation, one would wonder why another girl was in her room past midnight that night.

Yizhen sometimes come back to Marsiling and spend a few nights there (with her ever changing girlfriend), before disappearing for another few days.

I graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, and have finished serving my National Service.

I was an infantry Sniper.

I used to live in the block next to Dad’s before LiuLi evicted me out of the unit with the help of the police.

I now live in Marsiling with Mom..

I’m was baptized, and had been a Christian for the good sixteen years of my life.

Perhaps I was not devout enough, and I do see God's work in some christians.

Perhaps I was not listening hard enough, but I feel that He has never answered my prayers.

I have stopped worshiping for some time, though my principles and values remain.

My quest for purity and fierce loyalty to and from a soulmate defines and shapes my thoughts, actions, and speech.

I am currently studying in SMU, doing my science bachelor in Information Systems Management.

My hopes for academic excellence has now been reformed to putting in my best, and accepting whatever outcomes.

I don't have the most beautiful family in the world.

Marriage may be made in heaven, but human folly sure isn't.

I have vowed in front of my father, in anger and in spite, to give my future children the best childhood and the best family they will ever receive and ever dream to receive.

Because I have always believed, and will always believe that the most meaningful thing in life is a successful family.

One do not need to grow up in a perfect one to realize that.
